About Image

Madrone Love, PsyD

My approach to psychotherapy draws deeply from my Buddhist practice, allowing me to be fully present with clients as they navigate life's inevitable challenges. I specialize in helping people work through a wide range of difficulties, including grief and loss, divorce, major life transitions, identity questions, confusion, existential anxiety, and work-related stress.

I'm particularly passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, autism spectrum differences, giftedness, or multiple neurodivergencies. I also have experience supporting partners and family members of neurodivergent people. I weave my understanding of neurodivergence throughout our work together, whether we're focusing directly on neurodivergent experiences or addressing other life concerns.

My educational background includes a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, an MA from UC Berkeley, and a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship at UCSF and have received specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) through the International OCD Foundation.

Madrone Love, PsyD

My practice of psychotherapy is deeply inspired by my Buddhist practice. I am interested in being with my clients as they make their way through the vast variety of suffering, that life provides. Death, divorce, life transitions, identity, confusion, existential anxiety, and work related stress are a few of the stressors that I can help you navigate.

I am also very inspired by working with neurodivergent clients- ADHD, ASD, gifted or all of the above. I integrate my understanding of neurodivergence into our work, whether we focus on the neurodivergence itself or other aspects of life.

I received my BA from the University of Pennsylvania and MA from UC Berkeley, both in African American Studies. I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute and completed my post-doctoral fellowship at UCSF. I have also received training in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) from the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).
